Casajús Reserva is a wine made from 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes grown in vineyards planted by our family in 1920 in the Quintana del Pidio area, in the very heart of Ribera del Duero.

The harvest takes place at the optimum moment of ripeness, when there is a balance between acidity, sweetness, and other favorable phenolic parameters for making wines suitable for aging.

In the production winery, the destemmed grapes are fermented in small 5,000‑liter stainless‑steel tanks, which help maintain strict temperature control, a key factor during vinification in achieving this wine’s character.

The wine is then aged in American and French oak barrels for 14 months, revealing its powerful structure. Afterwards, it spends at least 24 months in bottle to blend and soften the tannins from both the barrel and the variety, giving the wine refinement and harmony throughout its body.

Ingredientes

Uvas, conservadores (metabisulfito de potasio (sulfitos)), agentes estabilizantes (contiene goma arábiga y/o poliaspartato de potasio), correctores de la acidez (ácido tartárico [L(+)-]).

Description

VISUAL
A beautiful, very intense and bright cherry-red color, a sign of its excellent aging.

NOSE
Very ripe grapes with great aromatic richness, spicy, floral, and mineral notes, and the toasted character of the oak barrel combines perfectly with the wine’s fruitiness.

TASTING
What stands out most is its strength, a reflection of the excellent grapes from which it comes, together with a sensation of fullness and softness. The grape tannins merge with those from the barrel, and the aftertaste leaves a pleasant memory of red fruits, mineral touches, spices, and toasted notes. Ready to be fully enjoyed.

Due to its long aging process in bottle, this wine may develop some sediment, so we recommend decanting it.

To fully enjoy its sensations, the ideal serving temperature is between 15 and 18 °C.
