OF OUR ANCESTORS
WE INHERIT TRADITIONAL METHODS
TO MAKE MODERN WINES.
José Alberto Calvo Casajús was born in Quintana del Pidio. His enthusiasm and passion for everything that surrounds the world of wine encouraged him to found Bodegas J. A. Calvo Casajús in 1993; a modern company, equipped with the most advanced techniques, but with a deep-rooted family spirit and that preserves the most genuine of the Ribera del Duero wines.

FROM THE VINEYARD TO YOUR BOTTLE.
On loamy-sandy terrain, protected from the north by small mountains of pine and holm oak forest, we cultivate twenty hectares of vineyards, mainly of the indigenous variety Tinta del País, which is over fifty years old.
Traditional pruning work, our land and the microclimate of our area allow us to achieve the perfect balance between acidity, sweetness, graduation and flavor of the fruit at the time of harvest.

OUR WINES
FAMILY TRADITION

FAMILIES

HISTORY
The elaboration of the Casajús Wines responds to that old tradition and familiar dedication: the knowledge acquired during generations, which long ago were used for general consumption with more modern techniques but respecting these origins.
